As a registered Capital Market Legal Consultant, Kukuh advises on public offerings, bond issuances, and capital-market criminal matters, and counsels listed companies on the governance questions that define their market standing, including disclosure obligations, and material transactions. He acted as lead legal counsel in a Rule 144A international initial public offering in 2021 valued at approximately Rp707.04 billion. This work was recognized in Hukumonline's 2021 rankings, which placed HWMA among the Top 10 Law Firms by total domestic IPO emission value.

In banking and financial sector matters, Kukuh advised on bank resolutions, takeovers, and recapitalizations during the 1998 Asian financial crisis — among the most consequential restructurings in Indonesia's modern financial history — including asset recovery efforts and the design of deposit guarantee arrangements that helped stabilize public confidence in the banking system. He successfully defended PT Bank Global International Tbk against a creditor bankruptcy petition in 2005, the year's most closely watched insolvency dispute, averting a court-ordered bankruptcy that could have exposed the state to losses of up to Rp732.9 billion. He also acted in the restructuring of PT Bank Century during the 2008 global financial crisis, one of the period's most scrutinized banking matters and a case that shaped Indonesia's subsequent approach to systemic bank rescues.

His range extends into commercial arbitration and criminal litigation, where the stakes often combine financial complexity with criminal exposure. He secured a successful defense in the high-profile East Kalimantan Fertilizer Pension Fund (DAPEN PKT) case, a matter spanning the intersection of complex financial and criminal law, and continues to represent clients in commercial arbitration and criminal litigation arising from financial-sector/corporate disputes.

In late 2024, Kukuh was elected Chairman of the Indonesia Financial Sector Legal Consultants Association (formerly HKHPM). Under his leadership, the association entered a new chapter, rebranding from HKHPM to HKHSK to reflect a financial sector being reshaped by rapid regulatory and commercial change — a transformation that also broadened the association's scope beyond capital markets to the wider financial services sector.

Beyond his transactional and litigation practice, Kukuh is a frequent speaker and educator, and has authored several publications addressing corporate restructuring, financial crisis response, and financial sector regulation, including work on OJK's evolving regulatory supremacy and the integration of sustainable finance principles into financial regulation.
