Nunung Iman Utomo is a Senior Consultant in the Finance, Tax & Business Advisory practice at HWMA Law Firm, where he brings over three decades of professional experience across financial management, statutory audit, tax compliance, and corporate advisory. A Chartered Accountant (CA Indonesia) and Certified Management Accountant (CMA, ICMA Australia), Nunung combines deep technical expertise in Indonesian accounting and tax frameworks with hands-on experience in international finance and cross-border transactions.

In parallel with his advisory role at HWMA, Nunung serves as Managing Partner of KJA Ali Iman dan Rekan (MK No. 158/MK/SK.5/2025), a formally licensed public accounting firm affiliated with Chartered Accountants Worldwide, where he leads engagements across tax consulting, management accounting, and PSAK/SAK EP-compliant financial reporting for over 20 active clients. He concurrently serves as an auditor at KAP Kuncara Budi Santosa & Rekan, conducting statutory financial statement audits under Indonesian Auditing Standards (SA) and applying ISAK 35 frameworks for non-profit and property management entities.

Prior to his current roles, Nunung built a distinguished corporate finance career across leading Indonesian and multinational organisations. As Corporate Controller and Finance Department Head at PT Andhika Lines Group — a publicly-affiliated shipping conglomerate — he held full accountability for finance, accounting, tax, and treasury functions across a multi-vessel fleet, including the design of financial models supporting USD 15M+ project financing facilities and leading the group's full IFRS transition. Earlier, he served as Finance Manager at PT Petrolog Oil Gas Tools & Services, a multinational oilfield services company, and as Financial Planning & Analysis Officer at PT Austindo Nusantara Jaya Group, a diversified conglomerate spanning oil & gas, plantation, financial services, and trading. He also gained early-career experience at Halliburton Indonesia and Unilever Indonesia/Quest International.

Nunung holds a Master of Business Administration from IPMI Business School (2010) and a Bachelor of Accounting from Universitas Indonesia (1997). He is a registered state accountant (Register Negara Akuntan No. 8532, Ministry of Finance), holds a licensed practicing accountant credential (Izin Akuntan Berpraktik No. AB.1194), and has completed Brevet Pajak Terapan C and Brevet A & B certifications through IAI, all with A+ grades. An active member of Ikatan Akuntan Indonesia (IAI) and ICMA Australia, he maintains an ongoing programme of continuing professional development, including recent training in Coretax compliance, tax treaty frameworks, and AI-augmented finance workflows.
