Joko H. Wibowo is a Special Counsel at HWMA Law Firm, where he advises clients on governance, risk management, compliance, internal audit, and technology-enabled assurance matters, bringing more than two decades of cross-disciplinary experience spanning the corporate, public, technology, education, insurance, and financial services sectors.

Joko has held a range of leadership roles, including Chief of Staff at a port company, Division Head/VP of Governance, Risk & Compliance at a general insurance company, Senior Head of Business Operations at a technology company, and Co-Founder and Director of a GRC certification body, alongside earlier roles spanning IT management consulting, insurance software, and health technology consulting, as well as board positions as Independent Commissioner of a life insurance company and Commissioner of a marine consulting company.

He has led and supported initiatives to strengthen organizational resilience through risk management frameworks, structured risk assessments, and internal control implementation, and has contributed to digital transformation initiatives including legacy system modernization, cloud migration, process automation, and data analytics — anchored throughout in governance, risk, and assurance principles.

Joko is currently active as an independent consultant and BNSP certification assessor in the areas of Governance, Risk Management, Compliance, Internal Audit, and Internal Control and Technology.

His professional credentials include CCCO, QCRO, QRGP, CGP, CCIA, CGRCOP, CGRCEO, CCGO CERG, and GRCP, supporting his work advising organizations on governance structures, enterprise risk management, compliance programs, internal audit practices, and control environments and Technology.
