The House of Representatives finally decided to ratify the New Health Bill to become the New Health Law. The law was promulgated by the President Republic of Indonesia Joko Widodo on August 8, 2023 through Law No. 17 of 2023 on Health, which subsequently replaced Law no. 36 of 2009 on Health (2009 Health Law) and 10 other laws related to health service administration.

This New Health Law will significantly impact Business Actors in the Health Sector, especially with new regulations regarding Business Forms for Hospitals, Medical Equipment and Pharmaceuticals, Health and Medical Personnel, and forms of Corporate Crime in the Health Sector.

DPR RI akhirnya memutuskan mengesahkan Rancangan Undang-undang (RUU) Kesehatan Baru menjadi undang-undang (UU) Kesehatan Baru. U tersebut diundangkan oleh Presiden Republik Indonesia Joko Widodo pada tanggal 8 Agustus 2023 melalui Undang-Undang No. 17 Tahun 2023 tentang Kesehatan, yang selanjutnya menggantikan Undang-Undang No. 36 Tahun 2009 tentang Kesehatan (UU Kesehatan 2009) dan 10 Undang-Undang lainnya terkait penyelenggaraan pelayanan kesehatan.

UU Kesehatan Baru ini membawa dampak besar bagi Pelaku Usaha di Bidang Kesehatan, khususnya dengan adanya pengaturan baru mengenai Bentuk Usaha Rumah Sakit, Alat Kesehatan dan Farmasi, Tenaga Kesehatan dan Tenaga Medis, hingga bentuk ancaman Pidana Korporasi bagi Pelaku Usaha di Bidang Kesehatan.
